What to check when buying a used safe
Check the model identification, lock operation, set of keys or codes, condition of the body and hinges, as well as previous anchoring points. The security grade is confirmed by the model marking and documents, not by the seller’s general description.
Delivery and reinstallation
Before purchasing, check the weight, dimensions, access route and the possibility of re-anchoring. If you need a refurbished safe, use the dedicated section for refurbished safes.
FAQ
A used safe is sold in its current condition. For a refurbished safe, the restoration work carried out should be specified, such as lock inspection, repair or repainting.
Check the model plate, lock, key set, hinges, body and fixing points. Also confirm the weight, delivery route and whether the safe can be securely reinstalled.
This cannot be determined automatically. Clear markings and documentation for the specific model are required; significant damage or non-compliant modifications may affect conformity with the certified design.
