Privacy Policy
General provisions
1.1. This Privacy Policy describes how SIA "INSAFE", registration number: 40203292478, address: Riga, Krustpils iela 31 (hereinafter also referred to as the "Data Controller") collects, processes and stores personal data received by the online store www.safes24.com from its customers and website visitors (hereinafter referred to as the "Data Subject" or "You").
1.2. Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, i.e. the Data Subject. Processing means any operation or set of operations performed on personal data, such as collection, recording, amendment, use, viewing, erasure or destruction.
1.3. The Data Controller complies with the data processing principles established by law and can confirm that personal data is processed in accordance with applicable legislation.
Collection, processing and storage of personal data
2.1. The Data Controller collects, processes and stores personally identifiable information primarily through the online store website and email.
2.2. By visiting and using the services provided in the online store, you agree that any information provided will be used and managed in accordance with the purposes set out in the Privacy Policy.
2.3. The Data Subject is responsible for ensuring that the personal data provided is correct, accurate and complete. The deliberate provision of false information is considered a breach of our Privacy Policy. The Data Subject must promptly notify the Data Controller of any changes to the personal data provided.
2.4. The Data Controller shall not be liable for any losses incurred by the Data Subject or third parties if such losses arise from the provision of false personal data.
Processing of customers' personal data
3.1. The Data Controller may process the following personal data:
- First name, surname
- Date of birth
- Contact information (email address and/or telephone number)
- Transaction data (purchased goods, delivery address, price, payment information, etc.)
Any other information provided during the purchase of services and goods offered on the website or when contacting us
3.2. In addition to the above, the Data Controller has the right to verify the accuracy of the data provided using publicly available registers.
3.3. The legal basis for processing personal data is Article 6(1) (a), (b), (c) and (f) of the General Data Protection Regulation:
- a) the Data Subject has given consent to the processing of their personal data for one or more specific purposes;
- b) processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the Data Subject is a party or in order to take steps at the request of the Data Subject prior to entering into a contract;
- c) processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the Data Controller is subject;
- f) processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the Data Controller or by a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the Data Subject which require protection of personal data.
3.4. The Data Controller stores and processes the Data Subject's personal data for as long as at least one of the following criteria applies:
- The personal data is necessary for the purposes for which it was obtained;
- For as long as the Data Controller and/or the Data Subject may exercise their legitimate interests in accordance with the procedure established by external regulatory enactments, for example, by submitting objections or bringing a legal claim;
- For as long as there is a legal obligation to retain the data, for example, under the Accounting Law;
For as long as the Data Subject's consent to the relevant processing of personal data remains valid, where there is no other legal basis for processing personal data.
Once these circumstances cease to apply, the retention period for the Data Subject's personal data also ends, and all relevant personal data is irreversibly erased or anonymised.
3.5. In order to fulfil our obligations to you, the Data Controller may transfer your personal data to cooperation partners and data processors that carry out the necessary data processing on our behalf, such as accountants and courier services. Payment processing is provided by the makecommerce.lv payment platform; therefore, our company transfers the personal data necessary to complete the payment to the platform owner, Maksekeskus AS. Upon request, we may transfer your personal data to state and law enforcement authorities to protect our legitimate interests.
3.6. When processing and storing personal data, the Data Controller implements organisational and technical measures to ensure the protection of personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, alteration, disclosure and any other unlawful processing.
Rights of the Data Subject
4.1. In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and the laws of the Republic of Latvia, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data, receive information about its processing, request a copy of your personal data in electronic format and have the right to transfer this data to another controller (data portability);
- Request the rectification of incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
- Erase your personal data ("right to be forgotten"), except where retention of the data is required by law;
- Withdraw your previously given consent to the processing of personal data;
- Restrict the processing of your data – the right to require us to temporarily stop processing all your personal data;
Lodge a complaint with the State Data Inspectorate.
You may submit a request to exercise your rights by completing a form in person at Riga, Krustpils iela 31, or by sending the request electronically to customer support at serviss@seifs.lv.
Final provisions
5.1. This Privacy Policy has been developed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (27 April 2016) on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), as well as the applicable laws of the Republic of Latvia and the European Union.
5.2. The Data Controller has the right to make changes or additions to the Privacy Policy at any time without prior notice. Amendments shall take effect upon publication on the website www.safes24.com.
