Check the wall first, then choose the size
Determine the wall construction, available depth and the location of utilities. The recess must comply with the manufacturer’s installation instructions, and the safe front, hinges and lock must remain freely accessible after finishing.
Wall and floor safes are not interchangeable
The door of a wall safe usually opens towards the room, while a floor model is installed in the floor structure and opens upwards. If floor installation is planned, choose floor safes and check the floor structure and waterproofing separately.
